1) MGM Grand – Grand Pool Complex Pools
The MGM Grand Pool Complex is limited to current MGM Grand guests as well as guests staying at The Signature MGM Grand. The Pool complex is very family friendly but does have a pool reserved for guests 18 years of age and older. Guests of all ages can enjoy riding down the 1,000-foot-long Lazy River. The pool complex has a total of 4 pools, 1 lazy river, and 3 hot tubs.
The pool is open year-round, however, with reduced hours and services. Lifeguards are on duty at all pools. Poolside food and drink service is available, but outside food and drinks are prohibited to being into the pool area.
This Private Reserved 18+ Pool is not a party pool but rather a tranquil and relaxing pool option. If you are interested in more of the pool party scene then head over to Wet 24 which is the MGM’s Day Club venue. You do not have to be an MGM guest to enjoy Wet 24, however, an entrance fee is generally required.
If you are enjoying the pool on a weekend or holiday during peak season be prepared for a busy pool deck. One way to mitigate these crowds is to opt for a form of reserved seating. Options include premium loungers, daybeds, and cabanas.

2) Bellagio Pools
Access to the pools is complimentary if you are staying at the Bellagio. Non-guests can gain access by choosing a reserved seating option. The pools are open year-round but with reduced hours and services.
All of the pools are family-friendly. There are no water slides or lazy rivers for kids to enjoy but the children I see by the pools always seem to be enjoying the pool experience. Lifeguards are on duty at all pools.
If you are looking for reserved seating you will not be disappointed with the selection or the included amenities. As complimentary pool loungers can be more difficult to find on busier days, it is nice to know you have the option of reserving your seating well in advance of your stay.

3) Aria Pools
The pool deck is complimentary for all Aria hotel guests. Non-guests can gain access to the pool deck with the purchase of reserved seating. Access to the Sky Suite Pool is restricted to guests staying in one of these Premium Level Suites.
The Aria offers pool deck access year-round but with reduced services and hours. During the off-season the Sky Suite Pool is used as the pool accessible to Sky Suite and non-Sky Suite guests alike.
All three pools are family-friendly in that there is no age restriction on entrance. Guests who choose the Aria are however generally looking for a more tranquil and peaceful pool deck than some of the other more family-oriented Strip hotels. Lifeguards are on duty at all open pools.
Guests are able to enjoy superb poolside food and beverage service, and as with most Strip hotels, outside food and beverages are prohibited.
For those guests looking for more of the pool party scene, I suggest you check out Liquid, which is the Day Club venue at the Aria Resort.

4) Cosmopolitan Pools
Boulevard Pool and Chelsea Pool access is complimentary for Cosmopolitan hotel guests. Non-guests are permitted to rent daybeds and cabanas at the Boulevard Pool only.
All guests are welcome to attend the Dine-in-Movie and Sunset Cocktail events, but reservations are required.
Both the Boulevard and Chelsea Pools are family-friendly, however, I have not seen many children on these pool decks during my stays. The Chelsea Pool is a much more tranquil pool and perhaps more appropriate if you do have your children with you. Both pools have lifeguards on duty.
If you are looking for the full pool party vibe then I suggest you check out the Adult-Only 21+ Marquee DayClub which is also attached to the Aria hotel.
An array of reserved seating options are available at all of the pools as is poolside food and drink service. Outside food and beverages are strictly prohibited.

The Vdara pool is open seasonally. Pool access is complimentary for hotel guests. Non-guests can gain access through booking a form of reserved seating.
This is officially a family-friendly pool, open to guests of all ages. and lifeguards are on duty. As this is generally a tranquil pool environment families who are looking for a more spirited family pool experience may want to check out Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, or the Excalibur pool decks.
There is no Adult Only or DayClub venue at this resort. If this is important to you I suggest you check out Liquid, Marquee, or Wet 24 as possible suitable alternatives.
Reserved seating options are available, with some including semi-private plunge pools. Poolside food and beverage service is available but no outside food and beverage are permitted into the pool deck area.

6) Mandalay Bay Beach Pool
The Pools operate year-round but with reduced services and hours. Pool access is complimentary for guests of Mandalay Bay, Delano, Four Seasons, and the Excalibur hotels. The Delano pool, however, is reserved for guests staying at the Delano Hotel.
This is a very popular pool for families and is very family-oriented. If you are looking for a pool experience that is kid-friendly but a bit quieter I would consider the Excalibur as an option.
There is no Adult-Only pool area within the Mandalay Bay Beach complex. Those guests over the age of 21 looking for a party-type atmosphere should consider Moorea Beach, a top-optional pool venue adjoining Mandalay Bay Beach or Daylight Day Club which is just across from the Moorea Beach Club.
There are a variety of poolside and walk-up food and beverage options, but again outside food and beverages are prohibited.
If these MGM-operated pools are not what you are looking for, I suggest you look at my guide covering the Caesars Entertainment operated pools.

There is no poolside entertainment available so if this is important to you consider checking out the new Fontainebleau pool deck which is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2024.

8) The Park MGM Pool
Hotel guests receive complimentary access to the pool deck. Non-guests who purchase reserved seating are also permitted into the pool area. Only those guests staying at the NoMad are granted access to the NoMad pool.
The pool operates year-round but with reduced hours and services. There are three pools apart from the NoMad Pool at this resort. Two of these pools are family friendly while the third is for adults-only. The East Pool which is the 18+ pool does have a DJ on weekends and the energy level can really pick up on these days..
Lifeguards are on duty at all pools
There are a variety of reserved seating options available and poolside food and beverage service is available. Unfortunately, no outside food and beverages are permitted.

9) NoMad Pool at The Park MGM
This pool is open seasonally and will reopen in the Spring of 2024. Only guests staying at the NoMad are permitted into this pool area.
This is a family-friendly pool, however, the majority of guests come to this pool for peace and tranquility. If you are wanting a bit more liveliness in your pool experience, you can always check out the Park MGM pools which are just an elevator ride away.
Lifeguards are on duty and a variety of reserved seating options are available.
Poolside food and beverage service is available. The poolside bar is surprisingly large for a relatively small pool deck. I must say, the service is excellent.

10) New York New York Pool
This pool is reserved for hotel guests only. The pool and pool deck are not large so limiting access does seem to be a good idea.
The pool is open seasonally and will reopen in the Spring of 2024.
There is one pool at this resort and it is family friendly. Lifeguards are on duty.
A variety of reserved seating options are available, as is poolside food and beverage service. There is no poolside DJ at this pool so if you are looking for poolside entertainment you may want to check out other hotel pools.

The pool operates year-round, however, hours and services are reduced. Lifeguards are on duty at all pools.
This is a family-friendly pool complex with all pools open to guests of all ages, except for Sundays during the Summer, when Temptation Sundays transforms the North Pool into an LGBTQ-friendly Pool Party.

12) Excalibur Pools
Complimentary access for hotel guests. Non-guests may gain access with the purchase of a Reserved Seating option.
The pool deck is open year-round, weather permitting. Hours and services are however reduced during the cooler winter months.
Of the four pools three are family friendly while one pool is for guests 18 years of age and over. Overall this is a very family-friendly pool complex. There is one pool with a small water slide which I always see many kids enjoying.
There is another pool very popular with families as reasonably priced cabanas are located close to the pool. The fourth pool has no cabanas and is generally the quietest of the general-use pools. Lifeguards are on duty at each pool.
Poolside food and drink service is available and the pricing is reasonable by Vegas standards. On weekends there is poolside entertainment by way of a DJ, but the energy level never gets too crazy.

13) The Signature at MGM Grand Pools
Pool access is reserved for registered hotel guests only. The pool deck operates at least one of the three pools year-round, weather permitting.
These pools are family-friendly and lifeguards are on duty. One of these pools is located close to the MGM Grand’s Wet Republic DayClub, so it can be quite noisy during DayClub operations.
Complimentary loungers are available at all 3 pools. Reserved seating in the form of daybeds and cabanas is also available. During the busier pool season, poolside food and beverage service is available. Outside food and drinks are prohibited.
