If you are considering staying at the Signature MGM and using the MGM Grand Grand Pool complex, my recent blog post https://midlifemiles.com/pools/signature-mgm-pool/ will show you what is available at the Signature’s pool deck, without having to walk to the MGM.
It’s about a 10-minute walk between the hotel pool decks, most of which can be done indoors.
Hotel Resort Fees
A daily resort fee of $45.00 is charged for the use of hotel amenities, including the pools. MGM Rewards members with Gold status or above will have these fees waived at check-out.
Lifeguard
Lifeguards are on duty
Number of Pools
The pool complex consists of 4 pools and 1 lazy river.
Heated / Unheated
The pools are heated to a comfortable temperature
Number of Jacuzzis
There are 3 hot tubs at this resort. There is one hot tub at each of the Main Pools, Splash Pool, and the Producers Pool. Those guests using the Private Reserve Pool will find the hot tub at the Producers Pool the most convenient hot tub to access.
Wheelchair Accessibility
The pool deck is wheelchair accessible. Mobility lifts are available.
Pool Vibe
Each of the four pools and lazy river has its unique vibe.
Lazy River
The Lazy River is the centerpiece of the MGM Grand pool complex and it is usually the busiest of all of the pools. It stretches approximately 1,000 feet and is relatively shallow at 3.5 feet in depth. This is a family-friendly water feature, with guests young and old enjoying the gentle ride. The Lazy River covers approximately one-third of the 6.5-acre pool complex.
Unfortunately, tube rentals are no longer available. However, you are able to bring your own tube or you have the option of purchasing a tube right on site. Tube inflation is no longer complimentary for those who bring in their own tubes. I was told the price is $10.00 per inflation.
If you are looking for reserved seating along the Lazy River you have four options. You are able to choose from spending your pool day in a Premium Reserved Lounger, a Pod, a Daybed, or a Cabana. Sample pricing for all of these options are provided below.
If you would like a Lazy River experience but are not planning on staying at the MGM Grand, then check out my recent post on the pools at Mandalay Bay Beach, which allows non-guests into the pool area with a Day Pass.
Main Pool
The Main Pool is the first pool you come upon as you enter onto the pool deck. This pool has the most number of complimentary pool loungers, but these can still fill up quickly if you do not arrive early on weekends and holidays.
An interesting note is that this is the only pool that does not offer at least one form of reserved seating. Please keep this in mind if you have your heart set on spending your day by this pool.
There is not a lot of natural shade by this pool, and I did not see any sun umbrellas while I was there, so please remember your sunscreen. If you do forget your sunscreen don’t worry you can always buy some on site, but it is certainly cheaper to pick some up from the local Walgreens or CVS store.
Private Reserved Pool
The Private Reserve Pool is reserved for those guests 18 years and older. It is a much more tranquil environment than either the Main Pool or the Lazy River.
There are a limited number of complimentary loungers available around this pool. The Daybeds are located closest to the water’s edge and behind them are the free loungers. Set furthest back from the pool are the cabanas which I must say are quite well-appointed.
When I last checked the pricing for reserved seating by this pool it was not available. I was, however, assured that reserved seating is in fact available during the week as well.
An alternative MGM property with an 18+ pool is the Excalibur. If you have MGM Rewards Gold status or higher access is complimentary. Otherwise, you will be required to purchase a Reserved Seating option, but these are reasonably priced. For additional information on the Excalibur pool deck, including the adult-only pool, check out my Excalibur Pool post.
If all of the members of your group are 21 years of age or older, and you are looking for a full Day Club experience, check out my article on the Wet Republic Ultra Pool.
Pool Towels
Complimentary pool towels are available.
Loungers
Complimentary loungers are available on a first-come basis. Although there are many of these around the various pools, they tend to fill up quickly, particularly on weekends and holidays.
Reserved Seating
A variety of reserved seating options are available. Reserved seating guarantees you pool entrance even on those days when the maximum capacity of the pool deck has been reached. It also ensures that all of the members of your group are sitting together.
As with most reserved seating in Las Vegas, pricing can be very dynamic, particularly on weekends and holidays. Below are some sample pricing for the various reserved seating options available. As pricing can fluctuate, always check the current MGM Grand reserved seating pricing and availability for the date that you are interested in.
Prices below were as of May 16, 2024, for the midweek date of Wednesday, May 15, 2024, and the weekend date of Saturday, May 18, 2024. These prices include a 50% Food and Beverage Credit. This means, for example, the $450.00 charge for the East River Daybed listed below is split equally between a $225.00 rental fee and $225.00 credit that goes towards the food and beverages which you order.
If you do not spend the full amount of your Food and Beverage Credit the remaining portion will be added to your rental fee.
