Map/Directions

Pool Season

The pool is open year-round. There are reduced services and hours during the cooler months.

Pool Hours

The pool is open daily from 9:00am until 8:00pm.

Pool Access

The pool is solely for the use of hotel guests. No day-passes or reserved seating options are available.

Hotel Resort Fees

A daily resort fee of $28.00 is charged for the use of hotel amenities, including the pool.

Lifeguard

Lifeguards are on duty and they are quite quick at calling out any pool rule infractions.

Number of Pools

There is one lagoon style pool and one circular wading pool. A really nice feature of the main pool is the two foot deep ledge that goes around the entire inside of the pool. It’s perfect for sitting on while cooling off from the Vegas heat.

Heated / Unheated

The pool is heated but the heater is turned off during the hotter pool season.

Number of Jacuzzis

There is one fairly large hot tub located behind the wading pool.

Wheelchair Accessibility

The pool deck is wheelchair accessible. There is a mobility lift at both the main pool as well as at the hot tub. The hot tub is located on a raised pool deck but a ramp is available. Mobility ramps are also available at the two raised seating areas as well as at the Pool Bar and Deli entrance.

Pool Vibe

The pool is definitely family friendly. At times there were a number of young children enjoying the pool but most of the time the pool and pool deck was quite tranquil. There is background music playing but I found the volume to be at a very reasonable level.

If you are looking for a party pool I would suggest you find a different Las Vegas pool to enjoy. Although South Point Hotel and Spa has a wonderful casino, when you are by the pool it’s easy to forget that you are in Vegas.

Pool Towels

Complimentary pool towels are available and can be picked up just past the Pool Store.

Loungers

Complimentary loungers are available on a first come basis. There is no option of purchasing any form of reserved seating at this hotel. There are several distinct seating areas around the pool deck. If you want to ensure you and your group members want poolside loungers together then I suggest you arrive at the pool early, particularly on busy weekends and holidays.

There are two additional areas away from the pool where loungers can be found. Both of these areas have large artificial grass areas which the loungers are on. One of these areas you will see to your right as you enter onto the pool deck.

The second area is a bit hidden away and may be missed if you are not looking for it. It is located at the back of the main pool deck area to the left of the raised gazebo. It is a nice tranquil area which was usually completely empty of guests.

Daybeds/Cabanas

There are no daybeds or cabanas available at the South Point Hotel pool.

Food and Drink Service.

Food and drink service is available via the Pool Bar and Deli. The Deli closed for the season at the end of September. The Pool Bar service is scheduled to end at the end of October. Food and beverages can be purchased from inside the hotel and brought into the pool area.

There are three areas around the pool which are equipped with tables and chairs to enjoy your meals. One is to your left once you enter into the pool area. It is up a few stairs or you can take the ramp which is located on the far side.

A second area is at the Pool Bar and Deli. Again you can take a few stairs up or the ramp on the left hand side. The third area with tables and chairs is under the gazebo which is located by the far end of the main pool. This area has the most protection from direct Las Vegas sun and is fairly large in size.
