Pool Season

Vdara will kick off its 2024 pool season on Friday, March 15, 2024.

Vdara Pool Hours

March 15 – April 28, 2024	9:00 am – 6:00 pm
April 29 – September 29, 2024	9:00 am – 6:00 pm

The Vdara pool is open daily from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm.

Pool Access

Pool access is complimentary for hotel guests. Non-guests can enjoy the swimming pool by arranging for reserved seating.

Hotel Resort Fees

A daily resort fee of $50.00 will be charged for the use of hotel amenities, including the pool.

Number of Pools

There is one main pool and three semi-private pools for cabana guests.

If you are traveling with those who are looking for a more diverse pool experience including a Lazy River, you may want to look at the MGM Grand Pool Complex and/or Mandalay Bay Beach, both of which offer Lazy Rivers. The highlighted links will take you to detailed information on the pool deck offerings available at each pool complex.

Heated / Unheated

The pool is heated to a comfortable temperature.

Number of Jacuzzis

There is one hot tub located near the main pool.

Handicapped Accessibility

The pool deck is wheelchair accessible. A mobility lift is available.

Pool Vibe

The Vdara pool vibe is family friendly but it is a pretty tranquil environment.

Although full details have not been made available to date, if you want to experience what will certainly be an upscale and sophisticated pool deck, you may want to consider the Oasis Pool Deck at the recently opened Fontainebleau hotel.

I have pulled together information that has been made available, as well as insights from my recent visit to the Fontainebleau, to help us better understand what to expect come the Spring 2024 when the Oasis Pool Deck is scheduled to open.

Pool Towels

Complimentary pool towels are provided by the swimming pool.

Loungers

Complimentary loungers are available on a first-come basis. Many of these loungers are under a cover of protective umbrellas. These umbrellas are in place to protect guests from the sun’s “death ray”, a term first used in 2010 soon after the Vdara had first opened. source. As a result of the sun’s reflection off of the curved glass that makes up the Vdara’s exterior, poolside temperature can increase by as much as 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

In order to protect its guests from this intense heat, MGM Resorts installed the curtain of sun umbrellas which you can see in the photo above.

Daybeds

Daybeds are available to rent. Renting a daybed can make your time by the swimming pool all that more enjoyable. Daybeds are more comfortable than regular loungers and provide additional space between you and fellow pool guests.

As with most reserved seating, daybed pricing in Las Vegas can be very dynamic, particularly on busy weekends and holidays. Always be sure to check the current rates and availability for the date which you are interested in.

Below I have included pricing for daybed rentals that were posted on March 17, 2024, for the midweek date of Wednesday, May 15, and the weekend date of Saturday, May 18, 2024. These prices are rental fees only. This means that any food and beverages that you order are paid for in addition to the rental fee. Daybeds come with up to three guest pool passes.

Cabanas

Cabanas are available to rent. If you really want to up your poolside comfort level and overall pool experience then look into renting a cabana. I noticed the cooling effect of the misting system from well outside of the cabana entrance. Cabanas come with a fresh fruit plate as well as a refrigerator stocked with a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

Other cabana amenities include:

As with daybed pricing, cabana pricing is also dynamic. Below I have included pricing for cabana rentals that were posted on March 17, 2024, for the midweek date of Wednesday, May 15, and the weekend date of Saturday, May 18, 2024. These prices are rental fees only. This means that any food and beverages that you order are paid for in addition to the cabana rental fee. Cabanas come with up to eight guest pool passes.
