Rio Las Vegas Pools: Season, Hours, Access and More

Pool Season

The Rio pools are open seasonally. Typically March through October although this is weather dependent. Please contact the hotel directly for exact opening and closing dates.

Hotel Resort Fees

A daily Resort Fee of $40.00 is charged for the use of hotel amenities, including the pool.

Lifeguard

Lifeguards are on duty.

Number of Pools

There are 4 pools at the Rio Resort.

Voodoo Beach, Adult Pool

There is one Adults Only pool at the Rio. For those guests looking for an Adult Only pool on the Strip, you should consider checking out Influence, The Pool at The Linq.

For those looking for a more upscale Strip Adult Pool experience, I suggest you look at the Venus Pool at Caesars which has more expensive rental fees but does offer half-day rates.

An alternate high-end Adult Pool experience can be found at Drai’s DayClub at the Cromwell.

Heated / Unheated

The pools are heated to a comfortable temperature.

Number of Jacuzzis

There are 2 hot tubs on the pool deck.

Wheelchair Accessibility

The pool deck is wheelchair accessible. Mobility lifts are available.

Pool Vibe

While I was at the Rio Pools for July 4, the vibe was that of a relaxing family environment. The adults only pool was also a peaceful environment, however, keep in mind this was on a Tuesday early in the afternoon.

Loungers

There are plenty of complimentary loungers around each of the four pools.

Daybeds

Daybeds are available to rent and can make your day by the pool all that more enjoyable. It’s nice to have a spot you can say is yours for the day, even if you leave for a few hours. There are two notable differences between daybed rentals at the Rio compared to the majority of the larger hotels in Vegas.

First, the pricing stays remarkably stable over time. There may be the occasional increase in price but that is the exception rather than the norm. The second difference is that you are only paying for a daybed rental rather than also paying a “minimum spend” on food and beverages. An alternative lower cost Daybed rental without a “minimum spend” requirement is at the pool at the Horseshoe.

Below is a sample pricing chart for daybed rentals that were posted online on July 14, 2023 for Wednesday August 23 and Saturday August 26. Vegas pricing can increase drastically on weekends so I have included both price points.

Rentals also come with complimentary pool admission for non-guests, so the number of passes has also been included in the chart. As prices may vary be sure to check with the hotel directly for exact pricing for the date(s) which you are interested in. Please check for current pricing and availability.

Cabanas

If you want to kick up your Vegas pool experience another notch then consider a cabana rental. These cabanas allow you to relax with additional comfort than a lounger or even a daybed. It will usually give you the option of more protection from the direct sun if that is important to you.

Cabanas are either at the “21 and over” pool or around one of the “all ages” pool. For cabanas for “all ages” bottle service is not included in the pricing. For those renting in the “adult” pool area, a Food and Beverage minimum in the form of bottle service is added to the overall fee. The Rio website included the following statement in the cabana booking notes “*Bottle Service for 1 bottle of New Amsterdam Vodka, Cruzan Rum, OR El Jimador Tequila is included in the package price.”

Food and Drink Service.

Poolside food and drink service is available. Food service can be ordered thru your phone via the Caesars Eats App. Food will be delivered to you poolside. You can order poolside Caesar Eats from 2 Rio restaurants. The All American Bar and Grille as well as Hash House a Go Go.
