Go Pool Redesign

The redesign of the Go Pool is well underway. A Flamingo Hotel guest informed me that the old Go Pool was torn up on October 1. I was on-site on October 12 and spoke to an individual who said he was involved in the development of the new Go Pool experience.

The source, who did want to be identified as the official rendering had not been released, said that the new pool area was going to be expanded, include additional palm trees, and vegetation, and consist of four separate pools. A different hotel employee said that there were no plans to change the existing Slide Pool, so I am assuming that the new development will consist of three new pools.

The source was also very pleased to report that the addition of new upscale loungers, daybeds, and cabanas was going to help make the Flamingo the “ultimate pool destination in Las Vegas”.

The new pool area is scheduled to start operating in the Spring of 2025. This post will be updated as new information on the pool project is made available.

Pool Season

The pools at the Flamingo are open seasonally. They usually operate from mid-March through October. The Go Pool closed in Early October this year to allow for major reconstruction of the pool and pool deck.

Pool Hours

The pools are now closed for the season.

Pool Access

Access varies by pool. The Beach Club Pool is reserved for hotel guests of all ages. The Go Pool is complimentary for hotel guests over the age of 21. Nonhotel guests who are 21 years of age or older must rent a daybed or cabana in order to gain access.

Pool floats are permitted to be brought to the pool. Pets, excluding service animals, are not permitted.

Go Pool

Complimentary access for hotel guests. Non-guests must reserve a daybed or cabana to gain access. All guests must be 21 years of age or over and have a current government I.D. If you are looking for a more upscale Adult Pool experience you should consider the Adult Only Venus Pool at Caesars Palace.

A second upscale alternative would be Drai’s DayClub at the Cromwell Hotel, or Liv Beach at the new Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

Beach Club Pool

This family-friendly pool is reserved for hotel guests only.

Hotel Resort Fees

A daily resort fee of $44.95 will be charged for the use of hotel amenities, including the pools. Caesars Rewards members who are Diamond or above will have their resort fees waived.

Adult Pools – Go Pool

The following Go Pool information was current for the 2024 pool season. Please be aware that the 2025 Go Pool experience will likely drastically change as a result of the Go Pool redesign.

The main pool is rather large in size and the designers have made excellent use of palm trees to create a very resort-like feel. Overall I was quite impressed.

The main pool has a prominent waterfall feature which you are able to see from both sides of the cascading water. This is a popular spot to grab a lounger and enjoy some shade from behind the waterfall. The cascading water does a great job of keeping you cool in the Vegas heat.

The smaller pool with a waterslide used to be the children’s pool when the Beach Club pool was an adults-only topless pool area. Now it is part of the Go Pool adult-only complex and has a quieter feel than the main pool. There is a limited number of loungers available around this smaller pool so be sure to get here early if a quieter day around an adult pool is what you are looking for. There are no cabanas available by this smaller pool so if that is a priority for you then the main Go Pool will be your best option. No matter which pool you are at the Go Pool will not disappoint you. The pool area was well-designed and was quite impressive.

The Beach Club pool is not as impressive as the Go Pool venue, but those in the pool sure seemed to be enjoying it.

Heated / Unheated

The pools are not heated.

Number of Jacuzzis

There are 2 Jacuzzis at this resort.

Wheelchair Accessibility

The pool decks are wheelchair accessible and a mobility lift is available.

Pool Vibe

Each pool area has its distinctive feel and vibe to it.

Beach Club Pool Vibe

The Beach Club family pool is very family friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There were lots of children in the pool and the pool area so some people may prefer to stick with the Go Pool if all members of their party are 21 or over.

Go Pool Vibe

My visit to the Go Pool was before noon and during the week so I am sure the vibe changes from the relaxed mellow atmosphere I was experiencing as you move towards the weekend or later on in the day.

Security does a pretty thorough bag check before entry so be sure not to accidentally be carrying anything in you shouldn’t be. Also, all guests must present a valid government ID to enter the Go Pool venue.

Pool Towels

Complimentary pool towels are provided.

Loungers

Complimentary loungers are available on a first come basis and these can be snapped up pretty quickly. I phoned the Go Pool at 11:00 am on a Saturday and all free loungers had already been spoken for. So plan to get there early if you want one of those free loungers. FYI people were lined up about 30 minutes before opening time when I was there mid-week.

If you are looking for an adult-only pool with a greater availability of free loungers, I suggest you consider the Adult Pool at The Rio All Suites Hotel.

If you want to guarantee a comfortable spot by the pool consider renting a Lounge Bed. These are perfect for a couple or 2 friends. Lounge Bed pricing can be dynamic, especially on weekends and holidays so be sure to contact the hotel directly for pricing for your specific day. Check for current pricing and availability.

Below is a snapshot of lounge bed pricing which was posted on the Flamingo website on March 17, 2024, for the midweek date of Wednesday, May 15, and the Weekend date of Saturday, May 18, 2024. Reserved seating of all types is also allotted a certain number of complimentary Go Pool entrance passes so this has also been recorded. Weekend prices are notoriously higher than midweek rates at most Vegas resorts.

Like many Las Vegas venues any kind of poolside reserved seating not only comes with a rental fee but a Food and Beverage minimum (F&B minimum) as well. This means that you are charged this minimum amount upon entry and this amount is credited towards your food and beverage spend at the pool. This is the minimum but feel free to spend more.

Daybeds

If you want to increase your pool comfort even more then consider renting a daybed. As with the lounge beds discussed above, pricing can be very dramatic and weekends are almost always more expensive than during the week. I have created a similar pricing chart for daybeds as I have for the lounge bed. Again, as prices can change quickly please use the chart below as a guide only. Contact the hotel directly for exact pricing for your particular date(s).

Sample Daybed Pricing

Daybed TypeWednesday Rental/F&B minSaturday Rental/ F&B min# of Passes
Party Daybed$250.00/ $200.00$600.00/ $450.008
Wet Deck Daybed$225.00/ $125.00$450.00/ $300.004
Premium Poolside Daybed$175.00/ $125.00$375.00/ $300.004
Poolside Daybed$125.00/ $100.00$275.00/ $250.004

Family Pool Daybed$100.00/ $75.00$200/ $150.004

Cabanas

Looking inside a cabana you can see a mounted TV, a couch and a coffee table. In front are three blue loungers.

Now if you really want to kick up your poolside experience then I suggest you try a cabana rental for the day. These cabanas really give you a “home base” from which to enjoy the pool. It’s nice to know you have a secure place that you can leave and return to knowing that it’s still going to be there, unlike a lounger where they may have removed your towel if you have been gone too long.

Many of these cabanas will also give you additional protection from a full day of direct Las Vegas sun.

Below you will find a similar sample pricing chart for Flamingo cabanas as I have done for the lounge bed and daybeds. And again, please check with the hotel directly for pricing for your particular day(s).

Sample Cabana Pricing

Food and drinks are available at both the Beach Club Pool as well as at Go Pool. It is nice to have consistent pricing for food and beverages between the two different pool venues. The air conditioning in the enclosed bars was greatly appreciated during the above 100-degree temperature while I was there.
