Pool Season
The 2025 Luxor pool season will start on Friday, March 14, 2025, weather permitting.
Temptation Sundays will start the 2025 LGBTQ+ pool party season on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Pool Hours
The pool hours at the Luxor fluctuate throughout the pool season. The 2025 pool season will likely start with reduced hours and services, and expand as the weather becomes warmer. This post will be updated with operating hours once this information is available.
Pool Access
Pool access is complimentary for registered hotel guests. Non-hotel guests can gain access for a $15.00 fee. You can see the pool access guidelines for other MGM pools here.

Hotel Resort Fees
For 2025, A daily resort fee of $45.00 is charged for the use of hotel amenities, including the pool. MGM Rewards members with Gold Status and above will have these fees waived.
Lifeguard
Lifeguards are on duty.

Number of Pools
There are four pools located on the Luxor Las Vegas pool deck.
Heated / Unheated
The swimming pools are heated to a comfortable temperature.
Number of Jacuzzis
There is one hot tub at this resort.
Wheelchair Access
The pool deck is wheelchair accessible. Mobility lifts are available.
Pool Vibe
The pool vibe is generally family-friendly. On Sundays, however, the North Pool becomes the adult-only pool for the LGBTQ Temptation Sundays day club.
If you are traveling with children and prefer pools that are very family-friendly, I would suggest you consider the MGM Grand Pool Complex, the pools at Mandalay Bay Beach, or the Excalibur pool deck. For additional information on these alternative pools follow the highlighted links and they will take you to posts with my impressions of these pools which I formed during my recent visits.
Although the Luxor pool deck is family-friendly, I have found all three of these alternative pools to be even more family-friendly than the Luxor.
When Temptation Sundays was not occurring, the North Pool actually seemed to be the quieter pool as most of the families were concentrated by the South Pool.
Pool Towels
Complimentary pool towels are provided.
Loungers
There are many complimentary loungers available on a first come basis. However, if some of the pools are closed it may be more difficult to secure a free lounger close to a pool to which you have access.
Reserved Seating
A variety of reserved seating options are available at the Luxor Las Vegas swimming pools. Reserved seating guarantees you pool entrance even on days when the maximum capacity of the pool deck has been reached. It also ensures that all of the members of your group are seated together.
As with most reserved seating prices in Las Vegas, pricing can be very dynamic, particularly on weekends and holidays. Below are some sample pricing for the various reserved seating options available. As pricing is dynamic, always check the current Luxor reserved seating pricing and availability for the date that you are interested in.
Prices below were as of January 30, 2025, for the midweek date of Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and the weekend date of Saturday, May 24, 2025. These prices are rental fees only. Meaning that any food and beverages ordered are billed in addition to the rental fee. Each rental also comes with an allotment of pool entry passes. This number is also represented in the charts below.

Reserved Daybeds
Daybeds are a great way to increase your comfort level by the pool. They are bigger and more comfortable than the reserved loungers.

Reserved Cabanas
If you want to really “up” your pool experience consider renting a cabana for the day. Cabanas provide that “home base” feeling while you are out enjoying all of the pool deck activities. It’s nice to know that you can leave and come back at any time and you have not lost your lounger.

Sample Pricing for Temptation Sundays Reserved Seating
2025 pricing has not been released to date. I will update the pricing once it has been made available. Last year Temptation Sundays pricing increased faster than any other pool’s seating which I was monitoring. Many “sellouts” occurred early, so book early if possible.
The pricing for the following chart was as of March 6, 2023, for the date of Sunday, May 21, 2023. This was the first week in which pricing was available for this venue. Pricing was extremely dynamic with prices increasing weekly and a sell-out for this date soon occurred.

Poolside food and drink service is available. Loungers all come with a QR code which you can scan and have your food and beverage orders delivered poolside.
